MEMBERS
ACCOUNT STATEMENT
The
membership shall consist of
a)
persons who join in the application for registration;
b) persons admitted in accordance
with these by laws;
c) retired members of FTU shall
be eligible to continue
their membership.

Every
member of the society must
a)
have attained the age of 18 years;
b) be resident of Fiji;
c) be of good character and sound
mind;
d) not be a member of any other
co-operative society
whose primary object is to grant loans to members;
e) not be an undischarged bankrupt
at the time of admission;
f) be a member of the Fiji Teachers'
Union.
No
persons shall exercise the right of a member until he has:
a)
signed his name in the register of members;
b) paid the entrance fee of $2.00;
c) paid in full at least 5 shares
monthly as hereinafter provided
in by law 33 (b).
a)
A member shall qualify to apply for a loan after he has met all the provision
of by- law 9.
b) A member shall be a contributor
for at least 3 months before he/she is eligible to apply for a loan.
Application
for membership shall be made through the secretary and shall be disposed of
by the board which may grant or refuse admission
